UNICEF (The United Nations ChildrEn's Fund) is a branch of the UN charged with the responsibility of providing children with vaccinations, fresh drinking water, nutritional supplies, as well as legal representation in developing parts of the world. [1] The organization is mentioned briefly by a homeless street dweller in the ruins of former New York City, in Appleseed Book Three, The Scales of Prometheus.
